Spend your getaway in our beautiful Carriage House suite, The Patriot, tastefully decorated to honor all the men and women who serve and continue to serve our great nation. Enjoy your morning coffee on your private porch overlooking the beautiful English Garden under the canopy of towering pine trees. The first floor of The Patriot hosts a sitting area with a 60” plasma TV, free Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, microwave and coffee brewer. A cozy table for two by the brick fireplace is perfect for an evening snack or a game of cards! A few steps up you will find a lovely sunken Jacuzzi inviting you to enjoy a soak after a long day of sightseeing. The third floor features a loft bedroom with a queen size bed with a unique picket fence headboard, pillow top mattress and our signature Comphy bedding. The private ensuite bathroom with shower is located on the third floor, as well as a second flat screen television. Exposed rafters, whitewashed barn wood walls and carefully chosen antiques and military memorabilia create an ambiance perfect for this centuries old structure. Two level climate control and luxurious spa robes ensure year round comfort in this unique pastoral abode. If you love our military families as much as we do, you will enjoy knowing that 10% of each booking of The Patriot will be donated to a rotating military charity quarterly.

“My husband and I spent a night at the 1777 Americana Bed and Breakfast in July. We were celebrating our anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Denise helped us with providing ideas of things to do and places to go in the area. We stayed in the Patriot Suite. The accommodations were top notch. We loved the Black Forest Brewery which was on site. The beers were great! Service was wonderful! The breakfast was delicious! This was my husband’s first at a bed and breakfast and he was very impressed! The Inn is beautiful and we will return again!”

We snuck away for our 16th wedding anniversary weekend and stayed at this little treasure. Denise the owner feels like family. They have a great bar /restaurant attached to the bed-and-breakfast and it’s right in the middle of town so we could walk everywhere. Plus the soaking Jacuzzi was perfect. Breakfast was included and top notch. Can’t recommend it more!!

I stayed with 1777 Inn on 5/9-5/10 and had the BEST experience!! All I can say is WOW…if you’re looking for a historic getaway, this is the perfect spot. Denise and Bob (the owners) went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.They even had a brewery right next store within walking distance onsite - you don’t even have to leave to have a great time!If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Ephrata, I could not rave more about this place!!

Stayed at the 1777 Americana Inn for the second time. This place is amazing, has great service from the hosts, and we really enjoyed the restaurant/brewery next door. If someone were to ask me to describe a classic Bed and Breakfast, I would not hesitate to use 1777 Americana Bed and Breakfast as my example.The inn itself is a gem. The room we stayed in is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The combination of the antiques and wall decorations really give the place a nice welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. We were glad that we got to enjoy this little piece of history.Denise greeted us for breakfast in the morning and she made us feel right at home with great conversation and a great homemade breakfast.The inn also has a very nice beer pub on the property, Black Forest Brewery. If you are a fan of good, imaginative cuisine and craft brewed beer it is certainly worth a look.The big question is: Would we stay here again? The answer is: “Yes”. Will we stay here again? The answer is: “The first chance we get.”

Had the best time staying here. Pretty close to everything in the area. (Lititz, Lancaster, Hershey) Denise and Bob take great care of their guests and make the BEST breakfasts. The Tranquility Cottage is perfect for a couples getaway. Everything was so cozy.

I booked the Tranquilty Cottage very last minute for one night and I feel so blessed that we were able to be accommodated. The service was exceptional - with a smiling face greeting us at check in and breakfast the next morning. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and romantic and the jacuzzi was to die for. I have already decided that we will definitely be returning for future romantic evenings in. The breakfast was delicious in the morning with fresh fruit waiting for us and the everything bagel sausage egg and cheese bake coming out minutes after we sat down. Truly a quality experience and worth every penny spent and more. Thank you for the absolutely lovely experience!

Perfect romantic and peaceful retreat for my boyfriend’s birthday! We stayed in Le Boudoir with the heart shaped jacuzzi in the bathroom. The room was perfect for some much needed de-stress time away! There’s a white noise machine in the room which we used to help us relax. It was nice to walk next door to the Black Forest Brewery for dinner and brews with friends. Our breakfast was delicious as well! Denise makes a great breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

First timers at the Bed & Breakfast & Brews! What a great experience. This historical inn has such great charm. From the outside gardens where you can sit and relax to the inside parlor which has games and snacks. The morning breakfast was always a surprise and so delicious. Owner Chef Bob does a great job and does cater to those with allergies or dislikes. Denise makes sure you are pampered and well fed. The quaintness never ends throughout. And while you are in a building from 1777, you do have modern amenities like running water, electricity, charging ports for your electronics, tv, etc. The entire place is clean and stocked for your stay. The road it is on is busy at times, so you may hear traffic or the rumble of the occasional motorcycle, but you can always turn on your white noise machine in the room. Best of all it is next to one of the better brew houses in the area, the Black Forest Brewery. Not only great beers and cocktails, but awesome food and even better staff. The inn is located in a great spot with quick access to other local and nearby breweries and attractions.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on our weekend getaway to Lancaster county! Rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious. Only complaint was that the lights in the bathroom of our room (Tranquility Cottage) were out upon arrival but the accomodations were so bright and filled with natural light that it didn't really matter. Breakfast was fantastic each day. Loved the brewery next door and the great central location that's in walking distance to the Cloister and downtown Ephrata. Great central place to stay if you're looking to enjoy all Lancaster county has to offer!

4.5 - Awesome historic B&B. Private Cottage house is amazing and a great price. A little drafty in the winter but 2 heaters and working fireplace make it super cozy. Bed is the only small negative and the reason it didnt get a full 5. A litlle hard and lacking support and comfy blankets. Breakfast was amazing. Food and beverage at the onsite pub was also outstanding.

Cute historic bed and breakfast. We loved the electronic fireplace in the room, made it nice and cozy. Breakfast excellent as well. Hot tub jets did not work, but we still enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip! We stayed in the Le Boudoir suite which was fantastic. The whole place was cute and cozy. We both said we’d stay here again in the future as the area in general was great! It’s located in Ephrata, which was a nice town, and not far from Lititz, where we also spent some time. Wish we would have tried the brewery attached because it smelt amazing everyday! We went to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire as well which wasn’t far. I would also like to mention that the breakfast was the icing on the cake. We’d go back just for that. My husband is a French toast connoisseur and said the French toast we were served was the best he had EVER HAD!

We enjoyed a nice evening at the 1777 Americana Inn in the Primitive Place suite. The whole location was charming, clean, and rich with history. The adjoined brewery was a nice spot to top off the day with good food and brews. We enjoyed them so much, we took few brews Togo and sat by the fire pit in the outdoor garden before turning in for the night. Breakfast the following day was delicious and it was nice to briefly chat with other guests and the owners. While it didn’t bother us, you could very clearly hear the cars on Main Street from the room we were in. If you’re a light sleeper or need silence, I could see the Primitive Place being challenging to sleep in. Great stay and if we find ourselves back in the area, we certainly would choose the 1777 Americana Inn for our stay.

We recently stayed to do a quick get away weekend. Fantastic property, warm atmosphere, old world charm, impeccably clean, fantastic owners! I could go on but I think you get the idea…..We loved the place. Rooms were spotless and the property is well kept. Breakfast in the morning was top notch and any special requests were quickly taken care of by the owners. To top it all off there is a brewery onsite (see review for Black Forest Brewery). We will be coming back!!

Nicely furnished but not modern. We enjoyed running each morning along the Linear Trail. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday weekend. The property was lovely- our room (the Tranquility Cottage) was cozy and so nicely laid out. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Our room had both a fire place and jacuzzi tub that were very easy to use and enjoy. Breakfast was served each morning in the dining room and featured fresh fruit, a tasty pumpkin bread and a filling breakfast entree. The brewery is literally right outside the door! The food and service at the brewery were great. The main street of Ephrata is a short walk and had a couple of cute places to grab a bite to eat. Short drive to Lancaster City to see the Lancaster Central Market and some shops. I am certain we will return!

We have stayed at the 1777 Americana Inn B&B several times and we love it! We stay in Tranquility cottage. It is a lovely 2 floor "apartment" with a hot tub and a fireplace. It's very romantic. The breakfast is always amazing. They owners are super nice people. I just can't say enough good things about them and their lovely B&B! They also own Black Forest Brewery which is right outside your door. Their location is perfect for shopping, drinking and eating. There are many other breweries in the area, so if you are a beer lover this place is really for you. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We showed up for our stay to find out we received a complimentary upgrade to one of the suites. The detail of the suite was gorgeous and was such a wonderful stay. It was hard to leave and spending time talking to the Harters the next morning after a delicious breakfast was the icing on the cake. They are delightful people with an amazing place. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe this Bed & Breakfast. We arrived really late and very tired. I had called a few hours earlier to let them know, they said it would be no problem. Once we arrived there was a personalized note and all the details. The room was perfect. Breakfast was delicious. My husband and I wish we had more time to stay. We even looked to see if on the way back our route would take us by 1777 just so we could stay again. Great owners, attention to detail is shown in every way.

We stayed in their patriot cottage and it was absolutely beautiful you could see thought went into every detail we didn't want to leave. Within feet there was their new brewery restaurant which not only had amazing fresh dishes but a great convience since the weather wasnt nice to venture out. I highly recommend this little gem we will be back in the summer looking forward to the outdoor bbqs and get togethers.

We really like this Bed and Breakfast and have stayed twice. The innkeepers, Bob and Denise are great. The breakfasts are delicious and they even took notice of what they made us on our previous visit. The rooms are quaint and nicely decorated. Our only complaint would be the noise of traffic from the main street. If you are in a room that faces this road, the noise can be a little jarring when a truck or emergency vehicle blares by.The Black Forest brewery on the property is great for a quick bite and a delicious beer. The bar manager and staff were also great.

We were incredibly lucky to book this B&B at the last minute as we were originally supposed to be in Va beach but the hurricane changed those plans. My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed right after Thanksgiving. We absolutely loved the Tranquility Cottage! So quaint and cozy! We feel in love with the town of Ephrata! A great vintage place to stay. Built in 1777, it has thick walls and is furnished beautifully. Very friendly, down to earth proprietors. Breakfast is outstanding. Room a little small, so pack light. Ephrata is a very interesting place with beautiful vintage homes. The Ephrata Cloisters are near by and deserve a visit.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here while touring Dutch county. Bob and Denise are formidable hosts and have left what we know will be a lasting impression on us, thank you!Denise's homemade breakfast is all the food you'll need till supper (I'm a 250 biker looking dude). The bar for her meals starts at awesome and it goes up from there. Our room was quaint, comfortable, and very clean. The linens were amazing and we slept a solid 8 hours all 3 nights. I'm sure we'll be telling all our friends about this place for months to come. Adorableness at The Tranquility Cottage! It had beautiful decor, many amenities, and the bed was so comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast which included fresh fruit, three homemade breads, turkey sausage, and a caramel apple baked French toast. The most meaningful part was the time Denise spent talking with us in the nicely shaded garden area. She is a wonderful storyteller and had me engaged from start to finish. We stayed in the Patriot Suite and it was amazing!!! Such a unique cottage with everything you need. We spent the evening at the Brewery on the premises. We enjoyed snacks and the beer was awesome! Denise and Bob made a delicious breakfast too! We enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much!!

We stayed in the Tranquility Cottage this weekend and it was amazing. Nice little living space on the lower level, a huge hot tub on the second floor, and a very comfy bed on the third floor of the cottage. We drank, we ate, we drank some more! Highly recommend this place to all beer lovers and just lovers!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend, and we loved this Inn. We stayed in A Primitive Place - such a beautiful room, and the bathroom of my dreams. I am still thinking about the stone wall and the gorgeous chandelier. We visited the Black Forest Brewery both nights we were there, and the Belgian was beyond expectations. It was such a lovely treat to be able to walk out of our room, and stroll over to the pub to have a drink and a light meal. Denise was even kind enough to even share some of the blackberry sangria that was being served the next day - if you are near Ephrata on a Sunday, you must go for their Sangria Sunday! The Harters were wonderful hosts, the breakfasts were delicious, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The next time we travel to PA from CT, we will definitely be staying here again!

We had an amazing weekend. The room was very cozy and immaculate, the beers at the brewery were very good, and the breakfast and coffee was delicious! Bob and Denise were so friendly. We will recommend this place to any of our friends looking for romantic getaway.

Had a great experience this weekend in this bed and breakfast. I have to admit I always thought bed and breakfasts were weird and not my thing- however this was amazing. It was clean, it was beautiful and the in keepers were out of this world. I would definitely recommend this and the brewery next door owned by the same family

We stayed in the Garden Window room, so lovely! The Inn was beautifully decorated, warm & inviting. Denise & Bob are the best! Breakfast was delish too.
